• While I personally think this is a lousy name for a motorsports web site, this British site offers a wealth of up to the minute information and photos from a wide spectrum of US, British and worldwide motorsport. This is a site I usually check on a daily basis, as well as subscribing to their daily email news service.  

• Subtitled "Zen and the Art of Sports Car Racing" this site is an internet magazine for sports car racing enthusiasts produced by racing photographer Timothy Crete. Lots of great photos from Daytona, Sebring, ALMS, and vintage events. Well worth a visit.

This is a wonderful trip to many of the tracks once raced upon by the SCCA, some legendary and some all but forgotten, including our own ghost track, Greenwood Roadway near Indianola.

• Ever wonder why so many cars at the vintage races have those "The Last Open Road" decals on the trunk? Then you haven't read the books... B.S.(Burt) Levy is a racer, frequent magazine columnist, and self proclaimed "notorious ride mooch", as well as a fellow member of Age & Treachery Racing. He's also written three of the best fictional works about the early days of sports car racing in the western hemisphere; "The Last Open Road", "Montezuma's Ferrari", and "The Fabulous Trashwagon", and with the fourth book in the series, "Toly's Ghost", he brings the story forward to the international scene in Phil Hill's championship season of 1961. While fictional, those who were there testify to how accurately Burt has captured the feeling surrounding the early days of real road racing at Watkins Glen, Elkhart Lake, and the Carrera PanAmericana, and the beginning of the SCCA. This site is the home of Burt's publishing company Think Fast Ink and has info on the books, Last Open Road merchandise, and even a story or two. Your friendly webmaster highly recommends these books and the web site.

FastStone.org [ You Need This File!!! ]  

• If you deal with digital images, and especially if you have a lot of them, these folks have a wonderful free utility I'd highly recommend you download - the FastStone Image Viewer. While it's a great viewer, it's also much more. It allows  you to make basic corrections and edits, quickly crop multiple images, and batch resize or rename large numbers of images at once. I have been using it for several months and become more and more impressed with each of their frequent updates of the product. I'd storngly advise you to try this great FREE utility.
