Chief of Waivers Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all individuals entering the active event site have signed the SCCA waiver and have been issued a credential indicating as such; that any individuals under age 18 have a properly executed Minor Release and Waiver; and that waiver forms have been completed with event information and signature.

  • Assemble waivers team
    • Should be done by event chair, but as chief, ultimately the responsibility is yours
    • Ideally, 4 people for pre event, and someone to cover for all heats.
    • Two people are usually sufficient at a time, but four allows working in shifts to allow walking the course.
  • Waiver station is responsible for the initial contact with the driver.
    • Ask if the person is pre-registered, if not give them a registration sheet and ask them to fill it out before going to registration
    • Ask if they are a member, if not give them a weekend member form, and have them fill it out before going to registration.
    • Have all people in the car sign the waiver, and give them a wristband
  • After the event is over, make sure all waiver sheets for that day have been signed and your member number written in.
